In warmer months, people will use cotton bedding as the fabric is soft and light. Cotton is commonly used in sheets, pillowcases, and duvet covers.

Sort cotton items based on light and dark colors as the garments need to be washed in different temperatures. To properly wash, use cool water for dark colored clothes, warm for colors, and hot for whites. Use the gentle cycle when possible, or the normal setting for more heavily soiled clothing.
